Originally, these Victorian tiles were called ‘encaustic‘ tiles and were mainly available in black and white displaying the most commonly used geometric pattern, resulting in a really classy look. This way of tiling floors became popular in churches, public buildings and some Victorian villas at around 1860 and became a common and popular feature in most terraced houses some thirty years later.
It is quite common for these original and beautiful tiles to become cracked or worn and requires specialist repair or replacement work to bring them back to life, which can also be costly. However, we can provide you with a range of these beautifully designed patterns in luxury vinyl tiles and help to transport your home back to the classic Victorian era.
